Ball In The Family

Do you know who these men are?  If not, then you will soon.  The youngest son in the red suit (LaMelo Ball) received a Lamborghini for his 16th birthday.  The father (Lavar Ball) is on the record stating that he would "kill" Michael Jordan in one on one basketball. He is the second person from the left side of the picture.  The oldest son in the Lakers hat (Lonzo Ball) went number two in the draft and expected to bring the Lakers back to glory.  The middle son (LiAngelo Ball) was recently told by Lavar that he will be the only brother not to make it to the NBA.  He is the furthest right of the picture.

Does this seem outrageous to you?

How about the $495 price tag for Lonzo's sneaker before he's even played a day in the NBA?

What if I told you that this outrageous family, led by Lavar, landed their own television show.  Like it or not, their own social media presence has created more opportunity for them than any traditional marketing tactic could.

Social media has done this for numerous other celebrities and their eccentric families, as well.  We find many people becoming famous for their outlandish and unconventional ways of life and making enormous profit off of it.  Just think, would you spend your time watching these people on traditional media?  The 30 seconds or 1 minute we spend watching their video on Facebook does not take much out of our daily lives.  However, 30 seconds or 1 minute from millions of viewers adds up to a big time pay day for social media celebrities which means an even bigger pay day for the advertisers on their pages.

The Ball Family continues their rise to superstardom with the recent launch of their Facebook television series. Love them or hate them, they know how to get some type of emotion out of you.  You can watch the first episode of their television show below.  Comment and let me know how you like the family!
